TimeBillers' Outsource Services

With today's economy it's essential that businesses have options for their office operations. It is our passion at TimeBillers, Inc. to help attorneys bring money in to their businesses and help account for it once there. We offer two main services to attorneys and law firms to accomplish this passion. They are:

    (1) Client Billing Services - We enter and process your billing information and provide you with billing statements and past due notices for your clients or mail then out directly, including uploading to auditing websites (insurance defense & work comp firms) if needed; and,

    (2) Bookkeeping Services - We enter general and trust bookkeeping data, payroll reports, reconcile bank statements, provide monthly financial reports, work with partner distributions and special business arrangements, and work with your CPAs to accomplish tax and year-end goals.

Billing and bookkeeping are essential to your business operations, as you will want to know where all your money goes once you've deposited all those checks from a successful billing program. If we process both your billing and bookkeeping, we will tie up all the lose ends between billing and bookkeeping, including trust accountability to your clients, across their bills and your books. We also want to make sure you know what your reports are saying and will bring any discrepancies to your attention.

Summary

Billing and bookkeeping for law firms is what we do. We've been doing it for more than 25 years. We can do either your billing or bookkeeping, and will happily coordinate with your in-house staff. We know how these systems work and if you give us the opportunity to process both your bills and bookkeeping, we take the added step of reconciling the trust reports from the billing program with your trust bank statements, which keeps you square with your clients, the bank, and your bar association. And we know this last step is so often missed in the regular course of operations. What works best for you?

Can we be your billing service?

Can we be your bookkeeping service? How about both?

Please give us a call to discuss your needs and we'll help you with your decision. Thank you for your interest and business!

TimeBillers' Recommendations:

  1. Copy all checks you receive prior to depositing, and attach the copies to your deposit slips and keep them in a file.

  2. If you process paychecks, hire a payroll service that guarantees their work. The small monthly fees are worth the accuracy and if they make a mistake on your payroll, their guarantee is that they will pay the penalties. Then the payroll reports are given to us for entry into your bookkeeping system since direct deductions are made from a business account.

  3. Have the bank deliver your bank statements to you or your managing partner's home address so that you are the first to open and read the bank statements. Then provide the bank statements to your bookkeeper. This cuts down on the possibility of loss, fraud or embezzlement. Also, have payroll reports delivered to the managing partner to look at first in the law firm, for the same reasons. Look for discrepancies and ask questions.
